I’m so glad you were able to see the movie. Your daughter was a true adventurer. Last year, I learned about writer and environmentalist Sig Olson. His writing shack in MN is now on the National Register of Historic Places. In the shack is his old manual typewriter with a yellowed sheet of paper with his last words - A New Adventure is coming up, and I’m sure it will be a good one. Hope this brings you some comfort.
Hi, Tina - Took your advice and tried listening for the first time. Writing to thank you through tears of joy and sadness and wonder at the beauty and heartbreak of what it means to be a human be-ing. #LoveIsAllThereIs
The sun setting behind the circus tent and your invitation beneath it~
“Think of the person
you love most in the world.
Think about them.
Then imagine they are gone forever.”
it killed me softly. And then to imagine Kiki’s luckiness and her circus dream realized and you watching her on film. All of it so poignant and resonant.
Oh my goodness, this is so amazing. The anticipation. The imagining. I watched the documentary trailer and wondered if that was a glimpse of Kiki's face looking up at us. I love your writing. I love that you held hands and left that film happy. Just beautiful.
I keep reading this post. I can imagine yoru anticipation to seeing the film. It is somethign you can experience with your daughter that is new. Seeing her in a different way for the first time. I love that you can have that. Another aspect of the pain is knowing there willbe no more new expereinces together...somehow I feel you have beaten that. What an amazing girl - beautiful and talente.d This is also personal to me as I am a yoga trapeze instruct used to the silks and the thrill. I will see this and feel the love of energy of you and your family...in the present and in the spirit.
We don't know what our life will be. And we cant change what is was. Bittersweet.
Thank you for sharing these expereinces. Sending love.
Hi Bonnie. I know what you mean about knowing there will be no more new experiences. I keep going back over my pictures and every time, I realize there will be no new ones, like it's a new idea. Like I still can't get that fact straight.
After the high of seeing the film, I had a very hard time. There's always a rebound, the pendulum swings into the light and then back into the dark.
How cool that you do yoga trapeze! It is a graceful and beautiful art. Something I have never tried. Thank you for being here.
Beautiful story again Tina
